Since 2002 till 2022 Oleksandr Knigavko has worked as a doctor – urologist- andrologist in the Kharkov Regional Clinical Centre of Urology and Nephrology.
It is the biggest Urological Center in Europe for 420 beds with highly specialized departments including Andrological department for 30 beds where he’s worked for
20 years. Every day Professor Knigavko consults 20-30 patients with andrological problems (Male infertility, Erectile Dysfunction, Peyronie disease, premature and retrograde
ejaculation, STI, prostatitis and another disease of male sexual tract).
Each month Knigavko Oleksandr operates 40-50 patients with andrological problems (varicocele, hypospadias, urethral stricture, corporoplasty for Peyronie’s disease, penile prosthesis implantation for ED, ligamentotomy and Peniflex implantation for penile length and girth enlargement…).
Dr Oleksandr Knigavko earned his master’s degree in Urology from Kharkiv National Medical University in 2004 and obtained PhD in Urology in 2007. He has worked as assistant, associated Professor in department of Urology, Nephrology and Andrology of Kharkiv National Medical University, and worked as Head and Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Andrology and Human reproduction in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
- In 2013 dr Knigavko had one month Urology and Andrology fellowship in AKH, Vienna, Austria, after that he performed Marmar Surgery for varicocele treatment
first in Kharkiv. For this time dr. Knigavko performed more than 4000 Marmara surgeries. Today, prof. Knigavko regularly provides training courses on the
Marmara technique for other urologists in Ukraine and abroad.
- Since 2012 till 2022 dr. Knigavko has worked as Chief of Andrology Fellow program for residents and doctors-urologist at Kharkiv Regional Clinical Center of Urology and Nephrology.
- In 2019 Aleksandr Knigavko obtained degree Doctor of Science and obtained position of Professor. According to 10-years supervision patients with premature
ejaculation he proved effectiveness of selective neurectomy, hyaluronic acid gel injection and Botox injection for treatment Premature ejaculation. - In 2022 Professor Knigavko with dr Aguilar published article about different methods of Penile Girth enlargement such as silicone implant Peniflex and
collagen matrix scaffold Mac Pol. - In July 2023 dr Oleksandr Knigavko performed first Peniflex implantation in Europe.
- In 2023 dr Knigavko obtained a title full Professor of Urology and Andrology

Dr Knigavko was the first doctor to introduce P Shot (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Autological stem cells therapy for erectile dysfunction and penile enlargement in the Ukraine, East Europe and Dubai. He has treated over 2000 cases of ED successfully and operated with postop supporting more then 500 cases of penile enlargement so far Professor Knigavko is an internationally recognized mentor for this and other andrological treatments, including penile fillers and surgical augmentation of penis with ligamentotaxis and Peniflex implantation.
Professor Knigavko developed and patented some operations for treatment ED, Premature ejaculation and male infertility. Generally 19 patents for inventions,
new methods of treatment and new technic of operation were obtained by him. The last patent was devoted to treatment erectile dysfunction caused by venous leakage with autological stem cells, PRP microinjection and venoocclusive surgery.
- 12/2021 — Academician to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine of Higher Education in the specialty of medicine as author first Ukrainian
handbooks “Clinical Andrology” and “Male Infertility”. - 09/2021 – “Top 100 Best doctors of Ukraine”
- 04/2017 -dr Knigavko for work “12 years experience transurethral catheterization of ejaculatory ducts for OA treatment” obtained award and as best international work in 42th congress ASA, Miami, Florida, USA
- 09/2016 – Award for best poster and travel grant from ISSM, Beijing, China
- 04/2004 – Best poster work in congress “Progress in Urology”, Paris, France
